​Kurt T. Volkert, LMHC, is a mental health counselor with over 31 years of experience. He is available for therapy sessions every Wednesday and Thursday at Pocahontas Community Hospital.

Kurt’s extensive experience and compassionate approach make him a valuable resource for individuals seeking mental health support. He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Briar Cliff College and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from the University of South Dakota. Kurt has a diverse background, having worked with adolescents, psychiatric intensive care, and neuropsychological testing.

Jamey Gregersen, ARNP, is a dedicated psychiatric nurse practitioner committed to providing compassionate mental health care to individuals across the lifespan. She provides medication management services for patients every Tuesday and Friday at Pocahontas Community Hospital. 

Jamey earned her degree from Allen College and holds board certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Jamey specializes in psychiatry and has experience serving diverse age groups, including children, teens, adults, and seniors. Her approach emphasizes personalized, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Jamey is passionate about enhancing mental health services within the Pocahontas community.

Kylie sees patients four days a week at the Laurens Clinic. Kylie is a Laurens, Iowa native and is happy to be practicing back in her hometown. She enjoys serving and helping the people of Laurens and surrounding communities who helped her grow up to be the person she is today. 

Kylie did her undergraduate schooling at Buena Vista University and received her physician assistant degree from Union College in Lincoln, NE. In her free time, Kylie enjoys spending time with her husband, Kevin and their two little girls and playing golf.

Allysha is a board-certified nurse practitioner with more than 10 years of experience in healthcare, serving in a variety of roles. She is passionate about building meaningful connections with patients of all ages and providing personalized care that supports their overall well-being. Allysha focuses on preventive treatments, health promotion, and helping each patient feel their best and achieve optimal health.

She earned her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN-FNP) degree from Morningside University in 2022.

Outside of the clinic, Allysha enjoys spending time with her husband, Nolan, and their spirited redheaded son, Waylon. She loves discovering new coffee shops, indulging in a little retail therapy, and supporting local businesses in her community.

Dr. Boevers specializes in family medicine, geriatrics, internal medicine, pediatrics and women’s health. She enjoys working in a rural setting and creating personal relationships with her patients. She accepts patients of all ages at the Pocahontas UnityPoint Clinic.

Dr. Boevers attended Cornell College in Mount Vernon, IA and later graduated from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences, Des Moines, IA. Dr. Boevers completed her residency at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines. She enjoys spending time with her husband and family in her free time.
