Dr. Ivey earned his bachelor’s degree from Buena Vista University and his medical degree from Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Ivey completed his residency at Sanford Health Foot and Ankle Surgery Residency Program in Fargo, ND. ​

He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 2006. ​
