Employee of the Year Award

The “Employee of the Year” was awarded to Dave Kraft at the Employee Recognition Event. The names of the employees of the quarter for 2020; Joanne VonDolteren and Dave Kraft were put in a cup and Dave’s name was drawn as the winner.
Dave received a shopping spree with the service awards program here at the hospital. His picture will hang in the hallway outside of the business office. Way to go

Last Thursday we held the drawing for Employee of the Year. Kammi Shearer, Jodi Weifenbach, Stephanie Burdick and Siwa Eigsti were the Employees of the Quarter from 2019, their names were placed into a glass and the lucky one pulled out of the glass was Paramedic, Jodi Weifenbach. PCH Donates $1,000 to PAC Makerspace

Julie Harrison and Amanda Tendal of Pocahontas Community Hospital recently visited the PAC Makerspace to deliver PCH's $1,000 donation for the purchase of a Ozobot Evo Classroom Kit for PAC Makerspace. 
Ozobots introduce kids to coding and, at the same time, teach skills such as deductive reasoning while expanding their imaginations.

50 Years Old!!

Pocahontas Community Hospital is 50 years old today!!! 50 years ago on a Friday afternoon, July 28, 1967 the doors were officially opened and PCH became a reality after a lot of hard work! What great staff we have had over the past 50 years and still have today and 50 years of AMAZING community/county support! So many lives touched in the past 50 years. Pocahontas Healthcare Foundation Scholarship Winners Announced!

The Pocahontas Healthcare Foundation recently awarded ten area high school seniors scholarships for $500 each.  Applications were distributed to the Pocahontas County area high schools in January with a deadline of April 15th for any senior who was pursuing a career in the health care field. Recently, PCH's very own, Patrick Mooney was one of three Iowans appointed by Gov. Terry Branstad to the Iowa Board of Nursing. Patrick is the Pocahontas County EMS Coordinator.
