Dr. Jennifer Boevers, D.O.
Dr. Boevers attended Cornell College in Mount Vernon, IA and later graduated from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences, Des Moines, IA. Dr. Boevers completed her residency at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines. She enjoys spending time with her husband and family in her free time. Dr. Boevers specializes in family medicine, geriatrics, internal medicine, pediatrics and women’s health. She is excited to work in the rural setting and gain personal relationships with her patients. She is now accepting patients of all ages at the Pocahontas UnityPoint Clinic.

Kylie Maurer, PA-C
Kylie is a Laurens, Iowa native and is happy to be practicing back in her home town. She did her undergraduate schooling at Buena Vista University and received her physician assistant degree from Union College in Lincoln, NE. In her free time, Kylie enjoys spending time with her husband, Kevin, 2 little girls, and playing golf. She enjoys serving and helping the people of Laurens and surrounding communities who helped her grow up to be the person she is today. Kylie sees patients 4 days a week at the Laurens Clinic and 1 day a week in Pocahontas.

Sara Thorkildsen, F.N.P.-B.C.

Sara is a Manson native and is enjoying being closer to her hometown taking care of the people she knows. She obtained her LPN and RN from Iowa Central. Sara joined the US Navy as a nurse at age 22. After 8 years and 1 month of active duty, Sara decided to come back home. She then earned her degree as certified family nurse practitioner from Frontier Nursing University. Sara has four children aging from 13, 10, 8 & 5 years old.

Selena Meacham, FNP
Selena is a St. Mary’s, Iowa native and a graduate from Martensdale-St. Mary’s. She obtained both her undergrad and graduate degrees from Morningside College in Sioux City. In her free time, Selena enjoys reading mystery books, hunting with her dad, cuddling with her puppies, golfing with her husband, and watching him coach baseball in the summer. She is enjoying small town living and getting to know the community.

Dr. Shane Kirkegaard, D.O.

Dr. Kirkegaard attended Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, IA. He completed his internal medicine residency at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. Dr. Kirkegaard’s medical interests include preventative care and wellness, Type 2 Diabetes, and lipid management. His medical philosophy is “prevention over reaction; treat the cause and not just the symptoms; treat the patient and not just the diagnosis.” Dr. Kirkegaard enjoys spending time with his family and friends, hiking, exercise/fitness, and games. Dr. Kirkegaard will start seeing adult patients, starting Fall 2021.
