Dr. Jennifer Boevers, D.O.
Dr. Boevers attended Cornell College in Mount Vernon, IA and later graduated from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences, Des Moines, IA. Dr. Boevers completed her residency at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines. She enjoys spending time with her husband and family in her free time. Dr. Boevers specializes in family medicine, geriatrics, internal medicine, pediatrics and women’s health. She is excited to work in the rural setting and gain personal relationships with her patients. She is now accepting patients of all ages at the Pocahontas UnityPoint Clinic.

Kylie Maurer, PA-C
Kylie is a Laurens, Iowa native and is happy to be practicing back in her home town. She did her undergraduate schooling at Buena Vista University and received her physician assistant degree from Union College in Lincoln, NE. In her free time, Kylie enjoys spending time with her husband, Kevin, 2 little girls, and playing golf. She enjoys serving and helping the people of Laurens and surrounding communities who helped her grow up to be the person she is today. Kylie sees patients 4 days a week at the Laurens Clinic and 1 day a week in Pocahontas.

Selena Meacham, FNP

Selena is a St. Mary’s, Iowa native. She obtained both her undergrad and graduate degrees from Morningside College in Sioux City. Her and her husband, Bill, do not have any children of their own, but they do foster children. In her free time, Selena enjoys reading, hunting with her dad, cuddling with her puppies, spending time with family, and watching Bill coach highschool baseball in the summers. She enjoys the small town community life and the relationships made with patients.

Dr. Shane Kirkegaard, D.O.

Dr. Kirkegaard attended Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, IA. He completed his internal medicine residency at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. Dr. Kirkegaard’s medical interests include preventative care and wellness, Type 2 Diabetes, and lipid management. His medical philosophy is “prevention over reaction; treat the cause and not just the symptoms; treat the patient and not just the diagnosis.” Dr. Kirkegaard enjoys spending time with his family and friends, hiking, exercise/fitness, and games. Dr. Kirkegaard will start seeing adult patients, starting Fall 2021.

Melissa Frazier, ARNP

Melissa Frazier is a Sac City, Iowa native. She moved to Arizona to attend college, earning her bachelor’s degree in psychology, with plans of becoming a psychologist. She was drawn to nursing as she quickly realized nurses were needed everywhere, very diverse, and allowed her to help people, which is what she was hoping to do with her psychology degree. She eventually moved back to Iowa and attended Walden University where she obtained her nurse practitioner degree. In her free time, Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband, and 2 children.  Melissa is very passionate about preventative care, being able to help families as a whole. She is now accepting patients of all ages at the Pocahontas Unity Point Clinic.
