Medication Management
For many individuals, managing a mental health condition may include the use of medications. Medication management involves evaluating, prescribing, and monitoring psychiatric medications as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
Whether you are starting medication for the first time, adjusting a current prescription, or seeking guidance on options, Pocahontas Community Hospital provides compassionate, individualized medication management services.
These services are available every Tuesday and Friday with Jamey Gregersen, ARNP, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who serves patients of all ages.
Therapy Services
Therapy, or counseling, provides a safe and supportive environment to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors with a trained mental health professional. It can be helpful for individuals navigating challenges such as grief, trauma, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
At Pocahontas Community Hospital, we offer individual therapy sessions for adolescents and adults to help manage emotional challenges, build healthy coping strategies, and support long-term mental well-being.
Therapy sessions are available every Wednesday and Thursday with Kurt T. Volkert, LMHC, a licensed mental health counselor with over 30 years of experience.
