Board of Trustees
Pocahontas Community Hospital is proudly governed by a dedicated volunteer Board of Trustees. Established on May 31, 1967, the original board included George Cushing, Robert Flynn, and Gary Burns. From the beginning, the board was tasked with key responsibilities such as securing funding, adopting the hospital’s annual budget, and approving service charges.
On November 20, 1981, the Pocahontas City Council passed an ordinance to expand the board to five members, allowing for broader community representation and oversight.
